Although I just received my moon lamp (I ordered the 7.1” size) yesterday, I went ahead and gave it 5 stars because it arrived quickly/on time, it & the package it arrived in were both undamaged (I purchased the cheapest [I think 3 year] warranty after reading many reviews which stated that the customer service was great when needed), and I have already had it on for several hours without issue. All buttons on the remote seem to function just fine…

— 4 different actions [FLASH - flashes through each color for approximately 1 second or so each, SMOOTH - smoothly transitions through every color by fading from one color to the next, FADE -flashes through each color, each time starting at the brightest setting and fading to the dimmest, and STROBE - strobe seems pretty similar to the “smooth” setting in my personal opinion, as it appears to smoothly transition through the colors]

The ONLY buttons I admittedly HAVEN’T tried yet are the timers. I also haven’t yet tested out the charge capacity since I will likely just keep it plugged in whenever I put it where I ultimately decide it should stay to be displayed. I currently have it temporarily standing on top of our printer in the living room until I find it a better spot.
While it’s sort of a bummer that it doesn’t COME with the USB charging block, most of us have at least ONE lying around SOMEWHERE at this point with the plethora of electronics most of us tend to accumulate these days. I found an extra one fairly quickly in our “junk” drawer.
In many reviews (for this specific moon lamp and even for others that are similar), I read about the housing [on the base of the moon where the charge port housing is] easily coming loose and either falling INTO or popping OUT of the globe… While mine APPEARED to be just fine, I decided to immediately & CAREFULLY apply a little bit of GORILLA glue into & around the seem of that housing (shown in my 3rd photo).
I am a hobbyist photographer and one of my favorite things to photograph (and just look at) has always been the moon, so I thought this lamp would make a great addition to my living room where it could always be in sight. My wife & daughter love the look of lamp as well. As long as it continues to function, I would say that I personally think that its well worth the money, especially if you enjoy and/or appreciate the moon at least as much as I do. 🤷🏻♂️🙂✌🏼

P.S. - For anyone who may be curious, the first photo (close up) is one of the Orange Color options that I like on the BRIGHTEST setting, while the second photo is the white color on the DIMMEST setting.

I love this. Awesome teaching tool. However, I'd love it even more if the areas of the moon we see as darker colored, would be 80% opaque. As is, those areas look a light Grey due to much light still getting through. But, overall, nicely done, nicely done!
